A rigid ABS tube wrapped in a 60 kg/m³ EVA sleeve moulded into three zones — flat, ribbed and knuckled — so one pass over a calf gives you three different surfaces without swapping tools. Firm, and it feels it.
The hollow core is the point. It keeps the weight at 1.5 lb, it does not compress under a heavy leg the way solid foam eventually does, and it stores a band or a pair of balls inside it.

Care
- Wipe down with a damp cloth and a little mild soap after use.
- Air dry before it goes back in a bag. Closed-cell foam does not absorb, but a wet surface still grows a smell.
- Store out of direct sun. UV is what turns moulded foam chalky.
