A wide elastic belt with a fifteen-inch gel panel across the back, which is the size that actually spans a lower back rather than sitting in the middle of one. The panel slides out of a lined pocket for the freezer or the microwave.
The belt is elastic across its whole width rather than webbing with an elastic section, so it flexes when you breathe instead of digging in at the edge.

Care
- Remove the panel before washing. Machine wash the belt cold in a mesh bag, line dry.
- Wipe the shell with a damp cloth. Do not submerge it and never put it in a dishwasher.
- Freeze it flat in its sleeve so it sets to the shape it is used in.
- Retire it if the shell splits or a seam swells. Do not use a pack that is leaking.
